Silicon Calcium Description
Calcium Silicon alloy is a composite alloy composed of elements
silicon, calcium and iron, and is an ideal composite deoxidizer and
desulfurizer. It is widely used in the production of high-quality
steel, low-carbon steel, stainless steel and other steel grades and
special alloys such as nickel-based alloys and titanium-based
alloys; it is also suitable as a warming agent for converter steel
refining workshops; it can also be used as an inoculant for cast
iron. and additives in the production of ductile iron.

Silicon Calcium Function
Since calcium silicon has a strong affinity with oxygen, sulfur,
hydrogen, nitrogen and carbon in steel fluid, silicon calcium alloy
is mainly used for deoxidization, degassing and fixation of sulfur
in steel fluid. In the outside refining technology of steel, the
content of oxygen and sulfur in steel is reduced to very low by
desulphurization and desulphurization with silicon-calcium powder
or core wire. It can also control the sulfide from in steel and
improve the utilization rate of calcium. In the production of cast
iron, silicon calcium alloy not only deoxidizes and purifies, but
also plays an inoculating role, which is helpful to form fine or
globular graphite. The graphite distribution in gray cast iron is
uniform and the white tendency is reduced. And can increase
silicon, desulfurization, improve the quality of cast iron.
