Metallic Silicon Metallic Silicon product introduction: Metallic
silicon is also called crystalline silicon or industrial silicon,
and is mainly used as an additive for non-ferrous alloys. Metallic
silicon is a product smelted from quartz and coke in an electric
furnace. The main component silicon element content is about 98%
(in recent years, silicon content of 9999% is also classified as
metallic silicon), and other impurities include iron, aluminum,
calcium, etc. Semiconductor silicon is high-purity metallic silicon
used in the production of semiconductor devices. It is sold in the
form of polycrystalline or single crystal. Polycrystalline is
cheap, while single crystal is expensive. It is divided into
various specifications according to different uses.
